it began like that between her and him-and continued throughout the summer months, with varying shades of intensity; more of him and her with him being emphasized here. The inner battles he faced were tortuous on his pulsating heart.  He became enormously upset and was scarcely able to be decently civil and cordial like to any other man present, other than his adjoining friends. nicolesuza: “The third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority,” said author A.A. Milne. “The second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. happy holidays
twas a mighty fine holiday of gift exchanging- definitely one of the most memorable years I can ever think of. The whole family went to my grandfather’s for two nights to celebrate with laughter, wine, movies, music, card games, and my mother’s beautiful cooking. My grandpa gave me 3 rare books from his childhood, in fact one of them that was given to me was my...

with his hand, he shielded his eyes for a moment against the harsh, watty glare from the naked bulb over the table. my only hope is that it will bring about the swift termination of the war and a method existence that is ridiculous to say the least. I have been justifiably saddled with one responsibility after another. However I have thought of you frequently and of the extremely pleasant...

Stars, Like Dust: Poetry →
giacona: Poems have taste. Not “taste” as in they conform to contemporary aesthetics, but I mean I can literally feel a poem in my mouth, on my lips. The best poets taste rich, like my mouth is filled with the warm language, succulent and heart like delicious bread. Great poems don’t taste so much as I…

Think about that for a moment, you would think anyone who is in love with their life or in love with someone would say HELL NO to war. WHy would you risk leaving that all behind to fight a war that...

tentative structure of poem. Still working on*
You strolled the town’s streets alone with a flimsy shirt open at the throat where the old town stands The houses loom, and the roofs and trees, and the dusk of the dark Your feet pound the pavement From building and battered paving-stone There was a growing lack of color in those days Restless as a young heart, Hunting Nowhere to go , wishing you had friends Crossing, roaming, saying a poem with...

Throats in the clutch of hope the hunger voices mock And a flimsy shirt open at the throat And a dark-eyed woman in the old country dreams of him for one of the world’s ready men with a pair of fresh lips and a kiss better than all the wild grapes that ever grew in Italy and you are old before you are young find your pencils…a way to mark your memory Voices of broken...
